The exhibition “For memory of a teacher”
Miroslava Kot – a honored master of the folk arts of Ukraine, pedagogue, one of the most renowned embroiders in Ukraine, the keeper of our traditions and honored citizen of Drohobych. Local inhabitants knew her as an interesting, noble and kind woman lowing people and her motherland. She was a talented master and leader who appreciated every day and every moment of her life and fully devoted herself to the great task.
Exhibition “To the Memory of the Teacher” – is a joint project of the museum “Drohobychyna” and students of the honored master of the folk arts of Ukraine Miroslava Kot. It seems that in these embroidered shirts lives a part of her soul which was left by THE TEACHER to her pupils. The exposition presents artistic works of the students of Miroslava Kot which were created in recent years.

Леся Савка – член Національної спілки майстрів народного мистецтва України, кандидат педагогічних наук, доцент кафедри машинознавства та основ технологій ДДПУ ім. І. Франка – окрім традиційних вишиванок представила колекції моделей одягу, оздоблених вишивкою, що були розроблені та виготовлені під її керівництвом студентками, які навчаються за спеціальностями “Технологічна освіта” та “Професійна освіта”.
Lesya Savka – a member of the National Union of the Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine and a docent of the department of machine science and technologies of the Drohobych State Pedagogical University of Ivan Franco – apart from the traditional embroidered shirts (vyshyvanky) she presented a collection of the models of apparels decorated with embroidery patterns which were developed and created under her supervision by the students attending such study programmes as “Technological Education” and “Professional Education”.

Olena Bilas-Berezova – a member of the National Union of the Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine and director of the Artistic Museum of Michail Bilas in Truskavec – presented an interesting collection of the beads decorations, lanes and towels.

Nadiya Kuzan – – a member of the National Union of the Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, a candidate of pedagogical sciences, a docent and head of the creative laboratory “Artistic Boikivschina” of the Drohobych State Pedagogical University of Ivan Franco – wants vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt) to retain its original and peculiar beauty.
Galina Lischinska-Kravec – a member of the National Union of the Masters of Folk Arts of Ukraine and a lecturer of the methodology of professional education and applied decorative crafts at the Drohobych University – she is a master of different techniques of embroidery as well as puncturing, cutting, etc.
Mariya Skvarok – national master of decorative folk art Ukraine, lecturer of the department of machine science and technologies – presented her personal project of the modern beads decorations.

Lesya Yavorska – master of pedagogical education, explores Ukrainian national apparels and decorations, an expert of beading – presented a collection of beads gerdans and bracelets.

Oresta Lucishin – a member of the National Union of the Masters of Folk Arts of Ukraine. Togethet with M.Kot she started exploration and popularization of the embroidery of the Boykivschina region. She worked as a co-manager of the department of the national Ukrainian embroidery. She worked as a lecturer at the department of history and methodology of national arts. Her works were presented on numerous exhibitions. She is a master of all embroidery techniques.
Graduates of the Drohobych State Pedagogical University Ivanka Kuzik and Nataliya Shulak presented their works.
Galina Dzyama – a member of the National Union of the Masters of Folk Arts of Ukraine. Her women shirts, children clothes, napkins, mats and towels are decorated with various techniques: criss-crossing, puncturing, backstitch etc.
In the last years of her life Miroslava Petrivna used to help a lot to those who wanted to learn embroidery or master their skills. Her dwelling became a workshop of embroidery craft. Amongst her students there were Irina Dinyak, Anna Gerbyak, Lidiya Jurkevich, Oliya Kuzmin and Oksana Pasternak. Their works also were demonstrated at the exhibition commemorating this amazing woman.
